Harper's 5 month birthday!

Harper is five months old today. She is growing so fast and is meeting new milestones all the time. She now has two teeth - the two center ones on the bottom, she can roll and she is just about sitting up by herself. She is a very vocal little girl and likes to delight everyone within range with how loud her voice can get. One of her favorite pastimes is to blow spit bubbles. She still does not take a bottle very regularly and we are excited to begin solid foods next month. She is overall a very happy, mellow baby. She is a fairly good sleeper and always has been. She is not quite sleeping through the night yet. She goes down for the night at 7 pm and is up for the day sometime between 5:30/6, which Andy and I are not thrilled about but haven't thought of an effective way to stretch that. Any suggestions? I may try to move back her bedtime, it's just difficult because she is exhausted at 7. She is usually up once or twice during the night. Parenting has been such a joyful experience and Harper has grown so fast that I sometimes joke with Andy that I am ready for a second one. But then I come back to reality and realize that while that sounds wonderful, it would be very challenging and we are definitely not ready to add another one yet.

Oscar wants a picture too....

Oscar seems to have noticed that we don't dote on him as much anymore or take as many pictures. So I'm trying to be better about that. Here's a picture from our hike last week.

Playdate with Eve

Pics from the St. Patty's Day 7K - Runnin' of the Green Denver

Andy pushed Harper in the BOB in our first family road race since she was born. Andy ran in a Turkey Trot over Thanksgiving but that just didn't work out for mom... We were joined by our friends Nicole & Fred (along with thousands of others) and really enjoyed the event. Our race times, well, that's another story. Hopefully they'll improve by next year.

The professional photos we recently had taken of Harper are available in an online gallery through Wednesday, March 18.

The website is: http://www.chadwickzone.com/photocart
then, click on our gallery, "Pillari-3 Month" and enter the access code: h359

Andy & I have a hard decision to make on which photos to buy, there are so many cute ones that I would love to have. We are having photos done again with the same photographer when she is 8 months old and one year. Hmmm, could be an expensive year for photos!

Happiest with no clothes...

Harper's new favorite activity is to put her feet into her mouth, which is best accomplished when I am changing her diaper because the bulky cloth diapers really hamper her ability to perform this new skill. To make it a little easier for her I have been putting down a large waterproof pad and letting her play on it sans diaper.

The jumpster!!

When we registered for this gift, I was shocked that they actually still made this product but it seemed like such a great way for her to get exercise and develop her muscles that I couldn't resist. She certainly loves it! She has been bouncing in it every day since we set it up. Thanks Andrea, Todd & Mabel!

The other cherub picture. Love this picture!

The fox. Can you spot him? (or her...)

Oscar's last stand.

These are pictures from Oscar's last day at our house - 2 days earlier than our last day, since we had a friend take him so that he wouldn't think that the movers were there to play ball with him. He got to spend some quality time on the hot tub and then barked at the foxes taunting him in the backyard. They were just saying good-bye.

On her 4-month birthday!

Harper had her four-month appointment on her four-month birthday, February 25. She weighed 13 pounds, 7 ounces and was 24.5 inches tall. She is in the 50% for height, weight and head circumference, which the doctor said is pretty rare. I guess she is a very proportionate baby.

Oscar's trying to eat her!!!

Just kidding. He's showing her his teeth.

Tummy Time

Someone else wanted to wish her a happy birthday too...
