Sweet girl

All smiles before her first day at 'performing arts camp' this week. She loved it! They will put on a performance of Rudyard Kipling's "How The Camel Got His Hump"at the end of the week.

Trip to CT to visit family

Harper and I took a weekend away to Connecticut. It was sad to leave Reid but it was a short trip and we decided it was for the best to keep it as simple as possible. Plus, I was hoping she would finally wean. (She didn't!)

Harper and Noah on a hike.
My parents have free-range chickens. The egg yolks are almost orange! The darker the egg yolk, the more nutritional value, I was so impressed!

Singing a duet

I love Reid's growly singing voice. They're trying to harmonize.

First road race of the year

It is incredibly important to me and Andy to instill the importance of being active in our girls. I know that they know we are active, one of us is always going out for a run or heading to yoga or we're all going to the gym. I love how excited Harper is about running and having an active life. Here are a few pictures from the 1/4 mile kids fun run that was held at our local high school last week. Harper had a blast, I love her smiling face!

Harper's quote of the day

Our neighbor is expecting her second child this winter and I told Harper about it and how exciting it will be to have a new baby on the street to cuddle and she responded by saying, "I want to see the baby when it's born." So I told her that she could see the baby after it was born and she looked at me sternly and said, "No, I want to see the baby when it comes out so I can see how I came out."

I could barely contain my laughter. I told her that she's going to need a medical degree for that to happen.

Harper and Aidan

Aidan is Reid's age, but often Harper and Aidan get along better than Reid and Aidan. I guess it's because they don't have the two year old drama getting in the way of their friendship. So cute!

Very focused

Playing with her color wheel after camp.

Post-camp fun

Reid has been attending summer camp during the mornings this week at the school she'll be going to, along with Harper, in the fall- Creative World Montessori. Her teachers can't get over how verbal she is. I honestly don't even realize it because Harper was the same way at Reid's age. We are 2/2 on big talkers! Not sure if that's good or bad sometimes! She has made a new friend in sweet Katie Rose and we've been playing with her for the 30 minutes between when her and Harper's camp day ends. Also, after several false alarms, we can officially say that our house is diaper-free. We are very proud of our big girl!
