Chicago Children's Theater

We went to a performance of three of Eric Carle's most-loved books: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Papa, Please Get The Moon For Me. It was incredibly well-done and the girls loved it, even Reid was dancing, laughing and following along with the performance. We followed it up with brunch in the city, it was a great family day.

Harper is as in love with Oscar as I am.

Travel, travel and more travel.

We have been very busy for the last few weeks, which is why I haven't had much time to post. First, we went to Texas to spend some time in Austin and visit with Andy's brother Father Moses (aka Uncle Tony). We had such a great time, Austin is our kind of town for sure. It was also great to spend time with Uncle Tony. Harper became very attached to him in the short time we were there, she cried and screamed on the plane because she wanted to go back to Uncle Tony. It was very sad and sweet.

We spent the last week in San Francisco. Andy had to work and the girls and I explored the city. I love San Francisco, it is my favorite city. We visited the sea lions in Fisherman's Wharf, explored at The Exploratorium and Palace of Fine Arts, played in the park underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, went to the California Academy of Sciences (one of the most amazing museums I've been to.) and went to the Farmer's Market at teh Ferry Building. We did not have a car so we did it all on foot or using public transportation, which was fantastic and quite the workout for me!

We have quite a bit of travel coming up, it seems like we always do. Harper just earned her first free flight from frequent flyer miles, not sure if I should be happy or embarrassed about that. Fortunately we are not flying for all of it. We are off to Indiana next weekend to spend the weekend with my college roommate's family, then Toledo, Ohio to visit a friend from Colorado, then we have a short break from travel when my parents will visit, then a short trip to Wisconsin, in July we will be in Connecticut for two weeks and leaving the girls for a weekend while Andy and I go to Colorado for a wedding, then it will be back to the east coast in August for a week on the beach in Cape Cod. And there's summer! Yikes.
